We are a young lab interested in antibiotic resistance and infection biology combining molecular biology, cryoEM and general microbiology approaches
We focus on MRSA: Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus
We are interested in understanding staphylococcal pathogenesis. Specifically we study gene expression and DNA replication using staphylococcal bacteriophages and other mobile genetic elements involved in antimicrobial resistance. Additionally, we are interested in phage therapy as an alternative to antibiotics or as coadyuvants.
